Hello, my name is Warren. This blog is about my 3 year cadetship with Carnival UK. It is for anyone interested in the activities that a deck cadet may get up to or to simply follow what I am getting upto!!
Last September (2006) I started training at Warsash Maritime Academy as a deck cadet. I have already completed one college phase and been to sea for 3 months! I shall be shortly joining my second ship for 2 months at the start of June!
I decided on a cadetship with Carnival after deciding that a ‘9 to 5′ job was not for me – I wanted to go to sea and travel! I have already certainly done this!
Apart from studying and being at sea my hobbies include, walking, running, amatuer radio, bell ringing and socialising. I hope to run the London Marathon next April 08! I.e Lose the pounds that I have put on whilst at sea!
